Calculated geocentric positions for nine grahas, whole-sign houses counted from the selected Moon-sign rashi, structured gochar conditions and factors, and optional readings that synthesize multiple grahas. Bulk computes the sky once and uses the same snapshot for all 12 rashis.
Calculation Basis and Errors
Positions are sampled at 12:00 local time on target_date. They are a daily snapshot; a planet can change sign during the day. The moon_sign_rashifal_v5 rules combine classical Moon-sign gochar with vedha, dignity, retrograde review, contacts to the transiting Moon, and lunar context. Daily sections distinguish opportunities, cautions, and practical advice. Background influences describe slower conditions that can persist across many days.
Vedha uses the seven visible grahas and the Sun/Saturn and Moon/Mercury exceptions. Nodes use the shared V2 gochar policy. Conjunctions require the same sign and a separation of at most 8 degrees; aspects use whole-sign graha drishti, with close emphasis within 6 degrees. The nakshatra practice and the Moon's pada element describe a day theme. These do not supply birth-star Tara Bala or an auspicious event time.
Interpretations use deterministic editorial selection, with evidence references to calculated factors. Sign dignity qualifies an influence; it does not measure total planetary strength. Retrograde motion introduces review context rather than an automatic adverse forecast. There is no natal chart, lagna, dasha, personal yoga, numeric prediction score, or location-based timing in these forecasts. Use the personalized endpoint for birth-chart context.
The v5 synthesis applies each nakshatra practice to the Moon's house for the selected rashi. Wellbeing advice uses a house-specific activity informed by the nakshatra approach and pada element or lunar phase, with one complementary practice per section. Supportive passages leave room for enjoyment and connection alongside practical cautions. Reduced, qualified opportunities from debilitated benefic contacts and favorable slow-transit money influences remain eligible. Repeated qualifications and reviews can be omitted when they add no useful action. These are deterministic editorial choices over calculated factors.
Overall tone is supportive or cautious when at least two sections agree and outnumber sections with the opposite tone; ties and isolated directional sections remain mixed. These labels describe the reading's balance, not the likelihood of an event.
Conventional gochar and dignity rules draw on Phaladeepika, chapters 1 and 26, and the vedha table in Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach, table 63. The prose, advice, contact emphasis, and domain priorities are original editorial rules.
HTTP 400: unknown timezone, a clock change that removes the requested local noon, or a local date or UTC snapshot outside the supported ephemeris years. HTTP 422: missing or invalid sign, malformed date, unsupported ayanamsha or node_type, or invalid boolean. Standard authentication and quota errors use 401 and 429.
